"Janani:Tribute to Mother Earth":Tomahawk Ridge Community Center: Kansas City, September 14, 2019
In this cultural event We-Amra, Inc, was introduced by Patricia Mutiso before audience. Welcome speech was given by Ms.Sharol ward followed by Brief of We-Amra, Inc was presented by Dr. Nivedita Ganguly.
"Janani": Tribute to Mother Earth, is a performing art presentation based on content of We-Amra book part 1 and music album on the learning concept "Love your mother earth". It was presented as medley dance format. Dance choreography & over all direction was by Dr. Dithi Banerjee and specific dance was choreographed by Dr. Soma Ray. It was presented by community dancers of Kansas city. Dance presentation is preceeded by a song of mother earth, directed by Sarmistha Banerjee and presented by singers of Kansas community.
All songs: written by Dr. Nivedita Ganguly, Music composed by Mr. Nirmalya Roy, and Singers: Nirmalya Roy and rising youngs artists of Music Mantra Institute, Kolkata, India
Over all program designing and script writing and anchoring: Dr. Nivedita Ganguly. About forty children participated in this event and various specific tasks were performed by dedicated volunteers from local community. It was strongly supported by Kansas Community and beyond. Fund raising activity with We-Amra book and music CD sale were also conducted by the volunteers at the time of the event. Purpose of the event: education, entertainment, bring cultural diversity and unity in local community. It was open for all community memebers as free event.
