Projects: We Amra Projects (literary, musical, creative performing arts, learning and entertainment)
What are We-Amra Projects?
Educational & Entertaining global projects that work towards children welfare and enrichment providing education & awareness through music and various art forms and other useful hands on activities that finally promote a healthy young generation so that they are able to build a better sustainable environment where we all can live in peace and harmony.
Why do we need this? World is changing every day. Children are learning a lot and losing many. Our children are moving away from mother earth, nature, mother tongue, human connections, social values, own culture tradition, even they are losing their childhood, These projects are intended to raise love and awareness towards what our children are losing. Even if children are our main focus, adults participation is also significant.
Project development: These projects were conceptualized around end of 2016 by Dr. Nivedita Ganguly from Kansas City (USA) who is professionally a physician with great passion for literature, music, painting, mother nature and children, education & teaching & Mr. Nirmalya Roy from Kolkata (India) who is professionally a stage & play back singer, a great musician, composer, music director, mentor with extensive knowledge in Indian classical music and with extremely bright music career. He is not only a singer but also a social reformer.
Educational resources: We-Amra book part 1 is written and illustrated by Dr. Nivedita Ganguly and We-amra part 1 music album is composed by Nirmalya Roy. We-Amra album producation was done by Music Mantra Institute (MMI), Kolkata, India. We-Amra project's educational content (Book & Music album) was published in June, 2017 and since then this project has been running in full swing in various places of USA and India.
Teaching methods: These concepts are taught in a very joyful manner, mainly through music and various other creative art forms (dance, recitation, story telling, painting and acting etc ). After lerning these concepts, learners use their own creative abilities & expressions and present as various We-Amra performing art presentations locally and beyond.
